Piada pronta: joalheria russa cria linha do iWatch da Apple de ouro em homenagem a Lênin. Seu nome: Caviar!

Eu sei: só posso ter inventado uma coisa dessas para promover meu livro Esquerda Caviar (que, aliás, está em promoção na Cultura por apenas R$ 25). É o que parece. Mas nem tudo que parece, é. Vejam a notícia do Business Insider que um leitor me mandou (está em inglês):

Jewellery brand Caviar has created a limited edition series of customised Apple Watches that pay tribute to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Lenin, and Peter the Great and cost £2,000 each. 

Up first is the Putin-themed watch, which displays the Moscow skyline, the state emblem on the Digital Crown button, and even Putin’s name and signature.

But maybe you’re not the biggest Putin fan. What if you prefer the days of Lenin and want to commemorate the October Revolution with your Apple Watch? Fear not, there’s also a “USSR Lenin” model which features an engraving of Lenin’s mausoleum, and a hammer and sickle on the Digital Crown.

Como é doce a vida dos comunistas de butique! Já posso até ver o Chico usando um desses em Paris, enquanto degusta um café de R$ 20. Tecnologia capitalista, ouro para ostentar o luxo, e tudo isso em homenagem ao revolucionário Lenin, o “pior criminoso da humanidade“. Não é fofo? Não é chique?
